Not to be rude or anything but have you checked the apple site ?

A 17" macbook pro is € 2,249.00 and if I was gonna spend that sort of cash on something you can believe me I would be reading into what it has.

I'm only new to Apple's me self, got a Black Macbook recently, does what I need it to and was in my price range.

Maybe an idea of budget and what features you need would help the more experienced users to help point you in the right direction.

for the price of a 17" mb pro, personally I would go with a 24" ACD & 13" mpb

Not the Air anyway. Not enough horsepower for what you want. 13" MBP with more RAM, or a 17" with bare specs. As someone suggested, 13"MBP with a shedload of RAM and a good big monitor.

a birdie tells me that there's 10% off Mac in the B&O store on the Quays. Plastic MB (pre-update), iMac and Mac Mini!

    Might be worth a look!
