Humax Foxsat HD+ box

    hi all can any one help i have a Humax Foxsat HD+ box when i record say bbc1 i cant watch utv or bbchd itv4 and so on but i can watch bbc2 ch4 and so on dose any one know whats wrong i though it wood not matter what you record you should be able to watch any other channel you want same as a sky+ box

    Might be that you only have one LNB input connected.

    Look at page 17-2.1
    Thats the ideal setup which will ensure yea can record and watch different channels, if yea already have it setup like this yea might need to setup the box again to ensure yea have the box setup to use the separate LNBs. Page 23-3.2

    If you have only one cable from the satellite, you need to connect a short link cable from loop thru to the second input. That will increase the number of channels you can record. Better still connect a second cable from the LNB which must be at least a dual, preferably a quad, and all restrictions on recording will go.
    You must do a factory reset after any changes like these.

    [Edit] If you do a factory reset, you will lose recording settings, like series etc.

    If you are already using 2 feeds - or a loop through - if you did the original install with only 1 LNB input - or the 2nd LNB input was not detected correctly at installation - you may have to redo the install from scratch. Certainly in the early firmware releases this was the case.

    hi guys i got it i had to reset it up again so the box picked up the other cable have it now thanks
