Ortho/Cosmetic dentistry

    Hi

Just finished orthodontic treatment and pretty unhappy with the results. Just wondering what the options would be with cosmetic dentistry and what sort of costs i'd be looking at. Veneers do seem a bit extreme but might be the only option.
I know most dentists do cosmetic dentristy but would like a recommendation for a dentist who is particularly good. I'm a tad wary of those who advertise heavily so if anyone has suggestions i'd appreciate a PM or any advice generally

    Cheers

What is it that you are unhappy with? Tooth shape, tooth colour or tooth position?

They just look awful. I guess it could be the shape of my teeth - in general i don't think they look very symmetrical which probably contributes to it looking crap. This could be the shape of my teeth or the position or both i suppose.
Colour not really an issue. Would probably look a bit better if I whitened them, but want to sort out the other issues first.

Sorry that you are not happy after going through ortho. Understandably you seem very disappointed. If it is a problem with the shape or size of your teeth the orthodontic treatment wont correct it.

I would go back to orthodontist and discuss it with them. If it is an ortho problem they may be able to help if not they could recommend a colleague. I know most dentists would like to know if a patient was unhappy with treatment and would do what they can to amend this.

Interestingly I would agree on your opinion regarding advertising by "cosmetic dentists". If you give your location I could send a PM

    Hi Day Dreamer

I had mentioned many times that I wasn't happy so the orthodontist would be aware of that, not that it made a difference to be honest. Didn't find my orthodontist to be helpful really.

Anyway, i'm based in Dublin, so if you could PM me a recommendation that would be great.
