Disconnected a phone dock and now radio is borked?

Hey, so I might have done something silly... I got a Ford Focus the other day, it's a 01. Whoever owned it before me had one of those old Nokia phone dock things, and it was all integrated into the radio and such.

It was annoying me, cos it took up quite a bit of real estate above the radio, and I wanted somewhere to be able to pop my own phone, so I figured I'd remove it and get a normal phone holder.

Went and unscrewed the yoke, and then seen as how it was hanging down with 2 wires, I figured I'd snip the wires and sorta hide them.. Soon as I turned on my radio I realised this was a mistake, the radio is now showing the word PHONE and no matter what buttons I press the radio does nothing...

The type of radio is an RDS 5000 EON (if that helps)

Any ideas? Or do I need to pop down to a garage somewhere?
