Restaurant for 'plain food' eater near Stephen's Green?

Hi, myself and my sister are heading up to Dublin next week and as she is a fussy eater due to allergies and IBS, I need to plan ahead a bit. Basically I'm looking for somewhere that does a nice, reasonably priced 'traditional' Sunday dinner e.g. potato involved somewhere/Irish food. We can't go anywhere that serves particularly spicy/complex dishes and it has to be in the Stephen's Green/ Grafton Street area as that's where we'll be around dinner time.
    Any help/recommendations would be great!
    Cheers! :)

Had a look at their website there, looks to be a nice place, great selection of food, thanks Tails142.
Anyone else know of anywhere, I can give her a few options that way... :)

Temple bar is very close to Grafton street, if you go there, there should be a load of places that do it.

We don't really know Dublin very well tbh, but I'm sure we'd be able to find our way. It's just it'd be handier if we had a destination in mind rather than wandering. Especially when cranky from hunger :D

Gallagher's Boxty House in Temple Bar does *fantastic* traditional Irish food.

Tis nice alright, might be a bit rich and not plain enough. :p

Along the same line as Captain America's, TGI's.

There's a place on Stephen's Green that might fit the bill called... Dandelion I think? It's a few doors to the left of the shopping centre if you're facing its front door.

    FYP :)

    Wait...

Unless you're facing the front door while inside either place... ;)

Also, TGIs is between Dandelion and the shopping centre.

There are several pubs that do really nice pub food on the top end of Baggot St, but the prices are a tad steep (not steep compared to what they are 5 minutes up the road in Grafton Street, though) except for McGrattans, which you can get to by walking as far as the Tesco Metro and walking into the narrow street beside it. You should be able to see McGrattans from the Tesco (if you're walking half way down the street and going 'hey, where is Tesco?' you have to cross the road after you pass the gold Spar. There's a chemist whose corner blocks sight of the tesco, as well as a burger king and an abrakebabra.)

Their food is really nice and they're very accomodating. You should, however, pass several pubs that do slightly more expensive pub foods (I believe but am not sure there's a Beshoff's branch as well.) You should be able to find SOMETHING to please your sister on Baggot St. since it's made of restaurants.

There are a selection of pub on Merrion Row, Baggot Street and Pembroke Street that do carvery.

There is a Kylemore or similar in the SSG shopping centre.
