Can You Kill A Little Bird

Just in case there is some confusion the little bird is the name of the helicopter that drops off care packages and sentry guns. I noticed it shows up as a target for predators and AC-130's but have yet to hit one. I did manage a Stinger missle but it takes more than one as it only got a hit marker. Tried javalins but it flies away to fast to register a hit. So if anyone has taken one down let me know

Yup, seen it on a TDM game once, no idea how the guy did it though, was probably a javelin, the copter takes longer to appear on certain map afaik.

well i done what i should have done in the first place and checked the wiki . your right it can be shot down although its supposed to be difficult due to the speed especially if your trying to do it before the care package is dropped and despite high hit points you dont get any experience points for doing so although it will count towards your cold blooded challange

no XP for it? thats a balls, since its so small and there for a couple of seconds its very hard to hit.

I shot one down before with a stinger on quarry.

Didn't think I hit it for a second because there wasn't that major an explosion, but your mans care package landed way off the mark.

Yeah you've gotta get them just as they're coming in and know the exact direction.

I think I've hit a few after they've dropped off the package and were off the map. Same has happened with harriers etc., the stinger just followed them away!

heh shooting down UAVs are easy points, same as counter uavs, not many people do it though, depends on where they are on the map too as sometimes guns dont have the range, also many a time I've been killed and saw myself looking up spinning around looking for the UAV on the killcam, funniest thing that ever happened me that way was a guy on Afghan saw me looking up scanning the sky for the uav, then looked up to see just what I was looking at, but I shot him

Ha, I gave up looking for it and just turned around to see this guy standing all of 5 feet away from me looking straight up, he sent me a pm joking about it after so at least he saw the funny side

Weird when I had just started I shot down a little bird with a stinger, one shot, no special aiming I just pointed and shot it! But the package fell away at impact so the guy still got it. I never tried it again but didn't realise it was so tricky

Yeah I shot one down myself with a stinger on derail, had it up and aimed to take out a uav, saw the little bird behind it and just chanced the lock on and it worked. Dude lost his care pack and all! Must have been sickend

Be even better if you could shoot down the emergency airdrop plane lol...weapons dont lock on though

That would be cool, does the harrier shoot down enemy choppers and pavelows? I love taking out someones harrier with a predator missile, pisses em right off

Yeah, the harrier takes out Pavelows. Not 100% sure about the chopper gunner though.

That's why you should never call in a pavelow when there is an enemy harrier in the air.

If you shoot down a care package helicopter the package just falls where it was shot down. I saw a youtube clip of people doing it, will try to find it.

I've only seen that once, someone using the Pred to take out a harrier. Most prefer going after units and ignoring the harrier.

ye been having good games lately its a wireless mike which was the worst decision in the world so it goes dodgey . was wondering why people kept ignoring me :cool:

I was playing a good game for once, had a pred missile at one point, I used it to destroy an enemy harrier and he started accusing me of hacking, saying that it's impossible to do that, twas priceless. He must think they are used at the same height or something
