Renewing grant when continuing from a higher cert to degree course

I've just completed my higher certificate course and will continue into year three of a degree course I was getting the monthly tlt grant and will have to change the higher grant. I'm just wondering if anyone knows can i just renew my grant or will i have to apply all over again?
