Spain to win their group in the World cup @ 1/3.

Tbh I expected worse odds than this and I just cannot think of any reason why they don't win this group with ease:

    Spain
    Switzerland
    Honduras
    Chile

Never know, especially in the World Cup, Spain have a habit of bottling it.

I think they'll win the tournament, but I'm not backing me life savings on it.

I think I'll just throw them in an accum with a couple of other "dead certs" to win their groups, possibly Holland, Germany, England. Spain for me are the only ones that stand out that will walk through their group, too much quality, and slightly less madness going on in the squad than previous tournaments.

Spain seemed to suffer in the Confederations Cup in SA last year due to the altitude. A lot of the Europeans side could also.

Chile aren't that bad a side but Spain should win the group alright

Germany are not a dead cert to win their group.

In their last 3 outings at major international level, they topped the group once ( World Cup 2006 )

Serbia also feature in the group and are a very capable side, more than able to beat the Germans.

    Just my opinion.

    And mine too.

Qualifying results were 7 wins 1 draw against france and 2 Losses, france and Lithunia in their last game but they'd already topped the group. They were joint 5th top scorers in europe with 22 and they conceded 8.Barring injuries to key men like Vidic,Jovanovic and Krasic I reckon they can get a draw agaisnt germany and hopefully wins against Ghana and Australia.

I agree with Spain @ 1/3 though,I'll be adding that to a double or treble

Serbia were loads of peoples dark horses before and they bottled it, lost all 3 matches, think it was WC2006. Like this tournament they qualified in impressive fashion.

    IN WC2006-
they lost 1-0 to holland, 6-0 to argentina and 3-2 to ivory coast in a dead rubber

won't be backing them myself, and wouldn't be suprised if they didn't make it out of the group

Ya I was looking at those odds for Spain a couple of months back and thought ya, looks good. On the day of the draw one bookie had them @ 4-9 to top the Group but that only lasted a couple of hrs. Most bookies have them shorter than 1-3. Looking at the Group they should easily top it as really they couldnt have gotten it any easier. Just the fact they are Spain at a WC has put me off backing it as a single. I have included them in a treble with Brazil and Holland to top their Groups.
