Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can confirm if modern cylinders are essentially the same in terms of construction - i.e. a vented cylinder is identical to an unvented cylinder, and it's just the install and plumbing around them that makes the difference.

I had ordered 2 unvented cylinders (running heating system of mains pressure), and one was recalled due to a known problem with that batch.

replacement one that was delivered was marked as vented. Plumber assures me they are the same these days - all can handle the pressure up to 10 bar, so no problem.

Is he right - or should I make sure its changed.

Note: cylinder is branded as a 'Triton' 300L.
