Basic book on networks.

    I am looking for a basic book on networks, with the basics described in plaing english, with no assumptions of prior knowlege. I ultimatly want to be able to networks PCs and devices, e.g. routers etc with some understanding of how they all hang together. Even a good for-dummies book.
