eBox query

Hi all, looking for someone with knowledge of eBox. The forums over at the eBox support site are fairly quiet so I thought I would try my luck here.
    Hi all,

I am trying to setup a proxypass entry in the eBox apache module, but I'm not sure where I need to put the entry.

EG - I have proxypass entries setup currently setup for my regular apache install and I put the information into the /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default that looks like this ...

    Code:

    ProxyPass /shellinabox/ http://localhost:4200/
    ProxyPassReverse /shellinabox/ http://localhost:4200/

While the above is a bit of a workaround, it's completely unencrypted so I am wary using it.

I want to apply this to port 443 but since ebox apache module is currently listening on 443 I can't use my normal apache config.

For arguments sake, lets say that I only have access to ports 443 and 80. I have tried editing /var/lib/ebox/conf/apache2.conf but on once you restart the ebox apache service, this file gets rewritten.

    So, anybody have any ideas?

Thanks for any helpo that you can give :) I'm gonna pop this onto the Ubuntu forums also.

    What version are you using?
I'll be upgrading a test box to the 1.5 series early next week, so I can keep an eye out
in the proxy area for where those variables get turned into the apache2.conf.
If I know what version you're using, I can be more precise with telling you where it should go.
How do you find ebox day to day?

I'm working on 1.5. I found out that the apache.mas file found under /usr/share/ebox/stubs/ is what controls the apache.conf file for eBox, but editing that doesn't work for me either. I'm still trying a few different things, like setting up a new listen port for eBox and have my regular apache.conf file handle port 443 and redirects, but it's still causing me hassle.

I'm thinking I might just scrap eBox altogether and administer the box manually. It's turning out to be more hassle than what it's worth with regards to what I'll use it for. I only use it on my home network, with 2 user accounts so there is nothing to strenuous and certainly nothing that would be huge trouble doing from a terminal.

Anyway, thanks for the response. Let me know if you come across anything that might help me out.

    Cool. Will do.
"Early next week" got redefined, but we're nearly there :-)
I'm more used to manually managing things, but I'm looking at ebox allowing me spread the load a bit.
