What are my options...

Right, story goes a little something like this......didn't go to the dentist for years, due to the fact i was petrified of them...

last year, i HAD to go...as one of my teeth was killing me. so i bit the bullet and went...and it wasn't that bad....

I had to get a couple of fillings and now we're getting to the big stuff....i have to get two teeth removed next to my K9 tooth on the left side, as they are in my "smile line" i don't want to have a massive gap on show.

the work i'm having done to date is being covered by my medical card, and the dentist said it'll only cover basic work, such as fillings and extractions and such.

Now i wouldn't mind paying for cosmetic work myself...as to be honest, it's a small price to pay to not have a big massive dirty gap in my teeth.

what would my options be when i get these two teeth removed....i don't really want to have a denture as im only 25...i have no idea about this kinda stuff...as i never really took an interest in it..

    any help greatly appreciated.

Hi there, you could have a denture to start and the look into implants. The best person to ask is the dentist treating you, i am sure they will give you all the info you need.

+1 on daydreamers suggestion of talking to your dentist. Dental implants are relly great for replacing missing teeth. If you want one your dentist can do it or refer you to somebody that does.

is it absolutely necessary to extract the 2 teeth? or are they being extracted because the medical card won't pay for fixing them (root canal/crowns)?
