Decking Oil Removal

    Hi!
Due to damage on decking, I am trying to clean it back to the wood.

It got two coats of a dark Decking oil - Natural Cedar - Spring 09.

I gave it the once over last evening with a power washer which got out quite a bit. However, me thinks I will need some sort of chemical based cleaner to get out the remainder.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for that suggestion. Phoned that shop and sure enough they have a product called Strippex. It costs about €38 for a gallon can and it does 150 square feet surface area (13 m3 approx.)

HI there, I know I am resurfacing an old thread, but was just wondering how strippex worked for you. I have the same issue which I need to tackle

These guys were recommended to me, had a chat with them and they were able to recommend various products for stripping and reapplying
