    Hi All,

The alarm on my car started going off yesterday without anyone or anything near it. Car is a BMW 318i

Since then, this has happened on a number of occasions.

Anyone any idea what would cause the alarm to go off?
All windows and doors are closed fine. The car has also been in different locations.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Most car alarms have a back up battery built in to the siren, this battery can fail and lead to all sorts of problems. Is your interior light working? This light is part of the alarm system.replace if blown. You could also check the switches that operate the interior light, these can get stuck.check all wires making sure they are not damaged and all earth points are ok
