itunes problems with my iphone 3gs 3.1.3

    ever since I got this iphone, itunes dont want to sync my music, it gets to syncing the apps alright but when it gets to the music it stop and give me an error with a code -48 and the bar on the bottom which indicates how much space I have left goes from being 14.63gb to 4gb?? Now hows is that?? I havent used my iphone to its full extent due to this pain.

    Can anyone please help me??:(:(

    I run windows 64bit on a dell inspiron 1564

    could be issue with Itunes running on 64bit platform. Itunes on windows is rubbish anyway. You might want to try to run it in compatible mode. Try SharePod for your music.

    I will give it a go, but I sorted the problem out, its working fine now.

    It seems that the backup and old firmware files of my old ipod touch was conflicting with my iphone on itunes, so I just deleted them and voila, my iphone synced everything unto it, with no problems.
