I was listening to off the ball tonight. The boys dislike of pro cycling is well established so having them only mention the giro due to cheating allegations was not very surprising however there story was an original one. They reckoned that there are bikes fitted with motors in the bike assisting riders over the course of a stage only to be swapped out during a puncture etc..... whats all that about then?

That just sounds a bit OTT and it was porbably reported in the Daily Mail in an article on how secret bicycle motors give you cancer.

Heard that myself, I enjoy Off The Ball, but if you are sensitive about any sport you are interested in then it you really shouldn't listen as they take the piss out of all sports. One example of another sport they slagged was this:

McDevitt: Murph did you ever take part in long distance running?

Murph: No Eoin I have a some sporting ability

I laughed. As far as their opinion of cycling, their opinions are fairly reflective of my opinions before I actually got interested in the sport.
