Volcanic insurance (sort of)

    A possible way of insuring your holiday been ruined/cancelled if your travel Insurance doesn't cover it.
    It looks like it's 10/1 minimum odds so for return, cost would be double the bet.
    So if Holiday is €5,000, have €250 at 10/1 on flight out being cancelled and same for way back.
    At worst cost is an extra €500, at best you get back €2500 if one flight is cancelled and at best you get the whole €5,000 back.
    Thought's?

    I'd rather get proper insurance but seeing as I can't find anyone willing to offer insurance I might just gamble on this instead!

    Tavelex will fully cover you for volcano delays or cancelations.
    It's expensive though at about a €100 for the policy but hey ,thats quite good coverage given the costs of a trip especially if it's a 2 week holiday and outside the EU.

    HSBC are paying out to all their clients who were/are effected by Volcanic ash who have purchased their travel insurance.
