Checking In Online - Printing Boarding Cards

The aul fella is heading over to France going tomorrow and back on Sunday with Aer Lingus.

I checked him in online there and printed off the boarding card for the flight out, however there was no boarding card for the return flight.

I tried to check in again as if it was the return flight from Paris to Dublin but it said to check my details - as if there was no record of a return flight.

How does he get the boarding card for the return flight does he have to get it in the airport in Paris via one of the kiosks?

    Cheers

Aer Lingus checkin doesn't open until online 30 hours before the flight. So he can print himself in Paris, or get it at a desk.

Thanks Buffy, I usually fly with Ryanair so wasn't too sure with Aer Lingus.

But, I saw on the website of Aer Lingus that they charge you if you don't check in online.

What if the person travelling doesn't have access to a computer / internet 30 hours before hand, or has access to internet but no printer?

    It is highly possible.

Aer Lingus do not charge you for not checking in online :)

Lots of international airports now have points in the terminals where you can print you return boarding card, due to lack of internet access whilst away. However you are normally required to produce the card on which the flights were booked as part of the confirmation. So make sure he takes it with him.

I've never heard of being asked to produce the credit card for an Aer Lingus booking. Iberia, Air China, some do.

OP, for Aer Lingus all that your Dad needs is his passport, and maybe the email confirmation of the flight (with the booking reference number on it).
