    hi i have been offered a job in a local factory, i am currently on job seekers, and recieving 196 a week as im 22..

    i was told by a man working at the factory that the work might only be for a few months.

    my question.

    if i sign off to work at the factory and get left go in a few months time, will i recieve the same payment for job seekers or will it be less

    I was in a similar situation and once you sign back on within 12 months you should still get the 96 euro as you will be a returning claimant.

    thanks for the reply, sorry do you mean 196. if it goes over 12 months will i be judge as new claimant, what would i recieve then?

    sorry I meant 196 ie. you will get exactly what you get now but if you apply again after 12 months you will be a new claimant so you will get the rate for under 24 year olds which is 150 euro.
