If you use 15GB next month like Minister Ryan agreed with 3 in the NBS contract then you will be charged €50 a GB for every GB over 10GB) That brings your bill to €269.99 for the month. Minister Ryan will do nothing about this breach of contract.
Ireland Offline has accused 3 of "silently" announcing the dropping of the data allowance for Pay Monthly Broadband customers from 15GB a month of data to 10GB and claimed 3's network could not handle the data throughput required by the NBS.

In a statement to Insideireland.ie, 3 denied the claims pointing out that, as per EU regulations, the company had placed announcements in the Irish Examiner and Irish Daily Mail on 7 May and had posted a notice on www.three.ie/customernotifications on the same day.

In relation to the reduction of data allowance the company said that "3 examined the customer base's current usage and although a small percentage would exceed the 10GB allowance (c.6%) the majority of customers don’t come near the new data cap and in fact average 3GB

Your not correct. NBS customers are getting their allowance increased form 15GB to 25GB.

If they increase the Cap it will reduce the speed at peak times. Maybe to half.

Anyway, how many people in NBS areas have a regular pay monthly or PAYG same as any other 3 customer and how many really have an actual NBS contract.

If it says 3's Standard Terms and Conditions Apply, it's not an NBS contract.

If your in an NBS area you should have an NBS account.
If your in an NBS area and you don't have a NBS account you can call 3 and they'll convert your standard pay monthly account into an NBS account, it takes about 24hrs and there's no cost to the customer.

Pre Pay customers don't qualify for NBS.

I can't see how increasing the usage limit is going to half speeds, I don't think they would increase it by so much if it was going to have such an effect. Not everybody is going to run off trying to bounce off their 25GB usage limit, it would be a very small minority.

That's why you are not a Wireless Network manager.

Reducing usage limit is not just about saving money. It makes it a better service for Mobile users.

If they cut cap to 1GByte or had no Fixed users, then mobile users on average might get a x5 better service.

If you want good Mobile Internet as Mobile Internet pick the more expensive, lower cap and best coverage service you can find.

I was actually hoping the cap was being cut for NBS users, but it's not, as mentioned above.

My reason for hoping it would be cut would be so I could then quit my contact under the "detrimental variation to your agreement" clause in my NBS contract, without having to pay the cancellation fee. So despite an absolutely muck service for the last couple of months (including raising a complaint with ComReg and official complaint with three), including loss of service for @ 3 weeks, I'm still stuck in my NSB contract, unless I pay the cancellation fee or wait for the minimum term to expiry.

The three CSR assured me the allowance for NBS users is not being affected. I still want out thoough!

This might be enough to get you out of the contract. NBS guarantees a minimum 1.2Mbps, which if you don't have, is a breech of the contract. 3 weeks without any service at all could also be a breech.

Use your current complaints (I hope you have record of them all) as grounds for ending the contract. Put it in writing to Three, and cancel the direct debit.

    Yes see the schedule

They are in breach if not 120ms latency or better
It must be always on (ALL 3G /HSPA can't meet this)
    And 1.2Mbps or better.

But if they give 1 month notice of varying terms and you continue using you have accepted new terms.
