Technical help in the West

I have recently upgraded my Well L96 to fit a Tanio Koba barrel and a PDI hop up. It was firing ok with the TK barrel but after adding the hop up unit this morning it is jamming on me. I don't have the time right now to deal with this and would be grateful if anyone who is sufficiently techie to potentially fix this would take a look. I can pay for time and travel within reason. I'm living in Galway and work in Limerick.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can make some time available.

some additional information by the way. When I had the TK barrel installed with the original hop up unit the length was perfect and I could screw on the end of the barrel perfectly. With the PDI hop up unit the inner barrel protrudes about 4mm from the outer, meaning I cannot fully tighten the barrel.

I am using the original hop up rubber - could this be the problem?

I've heard that with TK Twist barrels you're supposed to have the hop up OFF. Try that and see if it helps

    Hi Inari,

Hop up is off as I install it, as it was for the regular hop up unit (which caused no jamming problems).

    Thanks.

Fixed. I took delivery of a Prometheus bucking from AirsoftEire (next day delivery thank you very much) and quickly installed and tested. I am getting incredible range and precision. Will post some notes on installing PDI hop up to Well L96 when time allows, picking up on points that I have not seen elsewhere, highlighting potential problems, mistakes and how to fix them.

    Happy days. :)
