Is there a service that will pack+ship a large item?

    I have two of these...

...(unboxed and disassembled) which I want to ship from Dublin to my house on the Isle of Man.

I don't have anyone to box 'em up locally.

Is there a service that will come along, box them up, and ship them off?

They weigh about 15-20lbs each, and could probably be boxed in a 1m x 1.5m box or similar.

The shipping with An Post Priority Parcel for the item will be about €50 or €60... presumably there are cheaper services out there. If I could get them over for about £50 I'd be happy.

Having nothing to do with online buying or auctions means you're probably not going to find an answer here. I don't know where you'd ask such a question though, but I've never heard of any company offering the service you're looking for. Best bet would be to ask some courier companies if they offer a packing service too.

surely there is someone who is briinging it to the post office (dpd / gls may be cheaper as they specialise in parcels) - can this person not locate a box to put the item in? - any local store will have large boxes on a regular basis and happy to give them free.

I doubt if a company will take the responsibilty of packing & shipping as they leave themselves open to claims for damage.
