Heavy Rain - Happy Birthday Trophy Issue (spoilers)

    Did anyone else have an issue with this trophy?

    Ive completed the game (very good game) and am now doing the alternative endings and a cleanup run on trophies i missed.

    Problem is the Happy Birthday Trophy wont pop up. Ive played that particular one about 6 times now, culminating in the following procedure for my latest one -
    get up, read note, bird, shave, shower, clothes, drawing (all the way to end where he signs it and says it will be finished by mon), coffee, toy car, radio, welcome family, shopping, plates, feel up the wife, play with kids to completion and finally the dead bird.

    ive tried quiting at the mall and restarting the mall level again, no trophy, ive then played through to end of mall chapter, no trophy, then played all the way through the next chapter until sleazy place loads, still no trophy. Has anyone had to delete their save or game data and redo the mission to unlock this trophy? (on my first playthrough
    i didnt do the drawing so wouldnt have gotten it then anyway - who does work while the family is out anyway :D

    You have to finish the drawing completely , I did not do it the first time. The second time I got it .

    as i said ive done that to the point where im not prompted to do anything else and he says it'll be finished monday

    Sounds like you have done all that was required and then some to get it, I went with the IGN guide to get it after I finished the game and went back to clean up and got it on the first try.
    On the house's ground floor, first go to the work studio (near the door to the backyard), and keep working on the drawing until it is totally completed. Next, when the wife returns, help set the dining table by taking the plates from the cabinet near that dining table. (Slowly set them down.) Then, go out to the backyard and play with the kids.

    gona leave it til i have all the possible endings done and then try it again once more, sick of seeing his arse in the shower :D
