Marfan syndrome

    Hi there

Just so the mods know, I'm not looking for medical advice. Maybe just someone to tell me to calm down and stop being a hypochondriac!

This has bothered me for a few months now. I reckon I may have marfan syndrome. Im 21 male

I carry alot of the defining features of it. Tallish (about 6"1') abnormally long legs, thin wrists and limbs, crowded teeth, long fingers, long face, near sightedness etc etc

I know how easy it is to diagnose oneself using the internet. If I was to believe everything I read I would say I had aspergers, IED, OCD and a whole host of other disorders lol :)
So I know I might just be being silly.

Now I'm not looking for medical advice but I'm just wondering if its worth my while seeing a doctor? I don't want to look like one of these weirdos who just reads about something on the net and assumes they have a serious issue. Even though that is kinda what I'm doing. But like I said I know how reading about stuff can convince you that you have it so I'm not one to just jump to my own diagnoses based on a wikipedia article.

I suppose I just want some advice about how to set my mind at ease?

    Thanks

You are right - you shouldn't diagnose yourself over the internet. The only person who can tell you if you actually have a condition is your doctor.
