    Would have love if Jorge Garcia earned the role of Sawyer. He'd have added a new layer to sawyer i'd say..... Cue raunchy sex scene with Kate.:D

    ha, hilarious seeing the actors audition for different roles. Imagine Hurly as Sawyer and Ben as Hurley :eek:

    Very cool.

    I think they were more or less doing open casting and inventing/re-writing characters in response to the actors they met. I'm not sure the network knew this though, which is why all the actors are reading for Kate and Sawyer.

    Abram's approach to the casting was very organic. Instead of finding an actor to match the script, he just found really good actors and re-wrote in response to them. More tv shows need to be this creative.
