I got a car stereo deck like....1.5 years ago,... now the aux input stopped acknowleging my mp3 player. I have to hold the aux 3.5mm input to the side, just for sound, but that doesn't work because I can't do it for that long before it cancels out. Its like its a loose connection on the inside of the cd deck. Its a panasonic deck. Is this worth repairing or is it possible to repair??

    Is it the cable?

My money would be on a dodgy cable too.

Check the back of the headunit and see if there is an rca
Input. You can get 3.5mm to rca leads very easily and cheaply.

Sounds like it would be easy to fix if
    a) if you or someone you know is handy with screwdrivers and soldering irons
    AND
    b) the thing is designed in a way that makes it easy to get at the aux port from the other side. It's also possible that it's manufactured in such a way that makes it a beehatch to get at.

Dunno how much it would be if you left it in for repair somewhere, I'm inclined to suggest getting a cheap replacement...
