I'd put money on someone putting a bullet through Jack's head.

I know the movies are going ahead, but they don't have to come after this season. They could be prequels.

My guess - Jack goes to the UN or at least a building across the street, uses a sniper rifle to kill the Russian President but misses. Leaving the building, Chloe stops him in a hall way, tries to talk him out of it.

Jack tries to leave and Chloe pulls a gun saying he'll start a war. Jack tells her to pull the trigger and she does. On his way to the hospital, the ambulance gets run off the road, Jack gets taken by a group the President sent(the peace treaty goes ahead even though Dalia finds out the truth )and they help him leave the country

Well whatever the ending is, I'd be severely pissed off if there was anything left hanging considering its the end of 24. I know there's movies out, but I don't want to be waiting 2 or more years to find out the conclusion, so I'm really holding out that they'll bring everything to a close. If they bring Tony back into the story again, it'd be too far fetched at this stage. As much as I like the character, I don't think he has a place in this story.

Is it too late to hope for an Aaron Pierce moment? I briefly thought when Chloe said there was "one agent" left, she meant him.

I could see Jack dying in Chloe's arms but all the talks of movies makes me think twice. Hard to tell what will happen!

My prediction.

He can only die.

It reminds of that great batman quote " die a hero or live long enough to see yourself turn into the villian"

He has gone pretty wild and sporatic.

I hope for a high octane shootout, typical Jack tearing **** up etc.

But he cant really live through it, I think its being building up to it aswell, you can feel the character knows there is no turning back and hes not making it through it alive.

( think he references to this in the lastest episode)

Been a fantastic season, and a fantastic show, and a character that will always be remembered.

After 7 days of surviving just about everything, I think, as a proper ending, and one to be remembered, he will die.

I dont know what id prefer, leave him alive we will always wonder if there will be a new season, I think its the end of Jack.

As for the Tony thing, cant beleive anyone thought that was Tony, clearly cole from the get go, and Tonys actor himself stated before season 8 aired he would not be appearing n the show as he was not contracted.

Which is a shame , season 7 just will never go anwsered unless taken up by the film.

We find out theres a group that pretty much run the country, and you never find anything else of it : / bit **** tbh

I'm 50-50 on him dying, it's the natural conclusion to this season but with movies to cash in on..will they kill him? Prequel movies are a bad idea imo.

I cannot wait. I am watching lost and 24 at the same time, the 24 finale just seems so much more appealing!

jack dies, only logical conclusion , but everything comes out , the president falls, the peace accord fails, and the rest live unhappily ever after...lol

They could make prequel movies but Kiffer is starting to look his age and it would be downright strange seeing dead characters back alive and well!

Wasnt it confirmed a while back that Jack won't die? As amazing as it would be for Jack to get shot my Chloe in the final scene I just can't see him dying. The films being prequels simply would not work and would be far less successful with people (including those who have never watched the show but would see the film) knowing Jack was dead. Although it would be great to see David Palmer back.:cool:

I can't wait for Monday and Tueday - 2hr Lost final and 2hr 24 final. Will be sad to see my two favourite shows ending though:mad: - Speaking of Lost it is annoying that Sky One are not doing the same with 24 and showing it the same time as the US - instead it is two weeks behind - so I am sure those who will wait till it is on Sky will end up hearing what happens. :rolleyes:

Various 24 forums i read have supposidly got confirmation aaron pierces character has been on set in makeup

It wouldnt suprise me if that smirk was because someone else just did the dirty work, or some elaborate plot of trickery to get the target exposed, worked.

All i can say is I cant wait, and im not going near anything with the slightest amount fo spoilers.

Although i probably will trawl the itnernet tonight for the episode so im not waiting till next week

IF they were to kill Jack Bauer, be it in the finale or the movie how many of us fans will believe he's dead!?!? It would take him to be gutted like the Russian guy for me to even consider the possibilty he's dead!!
