iPhone ringtone

    Is it possible to set a song from the iPod as a ringtone?
    If so how do I do it????

    this is a rough guide.
    you need to choose the part of the song you like, up to 40 secs, alter in> get info >options. eg 0:00 to 0:40
    go to advanced and encode to >aac version, you then get a duplicate file.
    delete the file from itunes but keep file.
    locate deleted file, change the last letter to r = m4r.
    drag and drop and you should have your ringtone.
    hope that helped :D

    dont forget to re alter your your music to normal length

    Or download iRinger it's an automated simple version of the above, works very well and puts the ring tone straight into iTunes for you.
