    Hi, I've worn hyperspeed. Pirahana's are much, much lighter. You don't say what distance you're planning on using them. I can't imagine they'd give enough support for a marathon. I'm v light and I like light shoes but these are too light for me.

    Yeah it'd be over 5k to half marathon range i'd say.

    Have raced upto 15miles in the hyperspeeds, well used to them at this stage and contemplating doing the marathon in them.

    I'm light enough as well like for my height, but like you, I think the Piranha's mite be too light !

    Ryan Hall was quoted in a recent article that somebody linked to here (about barefoot running) saying that he wears the Asics Hyperspeed 4 for the marathon but that his legs would be in bits if he wore the Piranhas. So maybe Piranhas up to 10k/10 mile if you're used to running in very light shoes or you find the Hyperspeeds to have lots and lots of cushioning (I don't!).
