My brother took his 2004 Mazda 6 to the NCT test centre today. He had to take a few hours off work to bring the car to the centre, The car passed everything but failed on one fault. He replaced his rear brake light bulb there a week ago and every light worked in the test centre but the intensity of one of the brake light bulbs was brighter than the other and resulted in a nct failure. The car will have to go on the machine again and a re-test is due for the car. My bro told the tester that he could drive down to the nearest garage to change it but the tester was having none of it. It wasnt as if the light didnt work. He had to wait along time for this test as the car was on a long waiting list. Its a bit harsh to fail a car on something as small as that IMO.

    what are your thoughts?
