Im playing PP in Charleville on saturday, i didnt like foursomes at the start but i get along well with my partner so im starting to enjoy it more now.
The way i see it is if you dont like the competition dont bother playing in it. (easier said than done though )

    I'm playing there Saturday.

At least the forecast is good and the views will be fantastic.

The drive on the 5th is one I don't look forward to as it requires quite an accurate shot.

Get you're partner up on the first tee and you won't have to worry about it ;)

What club are you playing with?

I'll be there representing Wicklow, 5th is definately a tough one, but then so is 18, bad drive on 18 makes it a par 6 so to speak!

Playing for Woodenbridge heading out at 10.30'ish.

I better bring my lucky hat or I'll be roasted at that altitude.

Real warm weather and a high altitude course..maybe some big drives!...firm fairways too!.

I'm telling my partner to drive off first!..he has a nice draw (hook in reality) and I want to avoid the house on the right of 1st tee and the 5th T-shot! :)

Quite Simply it was too hot :) Fabulous weather, shame about the golf. Kilcoole and Glenmalure probably safe both have about 350 and 355 in. Blainroe are 3rd and wicklow 4th atm, but arklow had an 82 and an 87 as their first two scores so barring two 100's they'll knock wicklow out.

Beautiful day, course really is not one of my favs due to some terribly designed holes... played well, happy with that.... wont get thru tho as other scores were poor.... greens usual slow, hairy crap but as good as u get in R/wood... tight budget so its understandable...

Glenmalure won area qualifying last year...... looks like they are shoe ins for tomorrows 4 team knock out....fair play...... not bad for a terrible course with a small (and diminishing) membership to call from
