I find the Dior Show mascara fantastic! Also the cheapy option I find good is the Rimmel Volume X (Red and Black tube) It's great.

Diorshow blackout is fantastic, or for a cheaper option with a very similiar brush 17 from boots does a great one. hypnose drama by lancome is also really good

On the same topic, does anyone know of a good mascara for sensitive eyes? I only wear mascara when going out, and I put it on just before I walk out the door. If I leave mascara on too long my eyes get very watery and irritated. And I'd like to wear it during the day because it really brings out my eyes, my eyelashes are so fair they're pretty much transparent.

Maybelline Colossal Mascara is good for volume. You can layer it on to make it thicker. I find the non water proof one is better. I have never really found a mascara that I like, and this one is decent for the price.

i got the dior show mascara in waterproof and don't find it very good. is the non waterproof one much better?

Max Factor Masterpiece all the way for me. But not the Masterpiece Max version - somehow that's not as good.

Strangely I started off with the waterproof version and that was the beginning of my falling in love. I think the non waterproof version is a little better but they're about equal.

i find it gives the eyeliner black eyes look but does nothing much for my lashes :(

i really wanted a mascar that gives great dramatic lash look. any ideas

The latest one I've been using is that new maybelline false lash mascara in the purple tube. I actually prefer it to the YSL False lash mascara.

Have you ever considered getting your lashes tinted? My lashes wouldn't be very fair but I still find it fantastic. It lasts me about 4 weeks (they say 6 but 4 is the most I'd get) It's €10-€15 in most salons, I usually get the blue/black tint which gives the appearance of wearing mascara. Also I actually find my mascara goes on a lot smoother with less clumps when I have it done! :) Having sensitive eyes can be such a pain, but just bear in mind that a lot of mascaras have the same ingrediants that you may be allergic to, this will just have to be solved by trial and error I'm afraid! Also I just find a lot of the time when this happens to people their mascaras are quite old, mascaras should be changed every 6 weeks to 2 months, I knew a lady once who had a mascara for 3 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love mascara, would never go out without it on. I've tried them all and have decided that YSL can't be beaten. For me the Dior one only lasted about a week, bit too pricey for that!

I always found the DiorShow clumped after a few uses as if it started to dry up quite quickly once I opened it, have to agree with the Max Factor Masterpiece or Max Factor Falsh Lash Effect

Max Factor False Lash Effect x a zillion.

Oh I like this idea planning on getting my hair done for like the second time in three years in toni and guy soon might throw in getting my lashs done too, can you get your brows done aswell? That'd be sooo handy for blondies like me! :)

As already mentioned, Maybelline Colossal Mascara - gives great volume. As does, Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara

It is fantastic, no fair lashes anymore! You actually go to a beauty salon to get it done, any salon does it. I get mine done in my local beauty salon for €15. All it takes is 10 mins with your eyes closed and when you open, you have jet black lashes!! It dyes the tips really well so you can actually see the length!!

Sorry I forgot to say you can get your brows tinted too, this LITERALLY takes one minute! I find this doesn't last me long at all though, a week, week and a half max!!! I just find it easier to fill in my brows myself everyday using a light brown matte shadow and small angle brush! Definitely consider the eyelash tinting though, guarantee you'll never look back! :D

Yeah I had it done before I went on holidays once, I didn't want to wear makeup on the beach! You can get home kits to do it yourself but honestly you're probably better off getting it done properly by someone who knows what they're doing, it's not expensive

Oh this is exciting I've never gone for any sort of beauty treatment before! Think I'll get my brows shaped and tinted too as a once off, do you need to grow them out a bit first yeti style does anyone know?
Don't suppose anyone knows where in Cork I can get these treatments done? :)

Anyone know where I can buy this online?

I tried it out there today, I'm not used to wearing such thick mascara so it took me a few go's to get it right without clumping. Jesus I have some big seventies set of eyelashes on me now they're sooo long! The boyf as soon as he got in the door from work was like 'what did you do to your eyelashes they look amazing!' so I guess thats a win! :D I love it really really impressed actually even considering the price.

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but I'm in need of some makeup renewal.

Particularly mascara, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Chanel's Inimitable?? I want to splash out on a good mascara, I've used a load of cheap ones from Boots to more dearer ones like YSL but I'm yet to find one that really does volume/ length the way I want it to.

Also, does anyone have any idea about this mascara base by Chanel also?

    Any help would be great?

    Thanks
    Ash xxx

i've used both urban decays lash primer and estee lauder ad they're both brilliant. I think for an all nighter estee lauders is a little better but i only notice coming home my lashes look a little crumpled after a hard night with the urban decay one. its 15euro though so i think its good value. i'm using diorshow waterproof at the min and looking at getting either that chanel one or the extase, any recommendations

Personally I love L'Oreal Volume Shocking but I haven't tried Urban Decay yet.

I use Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara, but only really for nights out etc, since its really dramatic. Only thing is, it's dried a little bit on me... anyone know how to un-dry your mascara?! I know theres a trick to it...

Leave the whole tube sitting in a cup of hot water for a few minutes before you use it :)

    OMG, genius!

I think Hypnose by Lancome is just the bomb! I haven't strayed from it in years!
