want to start driving again

    just looking for some advice - about 7 years ago i done my driving theory test and then got a prov licence - i then got myself a car and was driving - first licence expired and i went on to get my second - however i wasnt comfortable driving so when my second prov expired i just let it go and didnt bother to drive. ( that was about 2 years ago)
    i stil have car sitting in my parents garden - so im just wondering now whats the procedure if i want to start driving again ( i need to for work reasons)
    will i need to re-sit my theory test again and go from there?
    also my car's tax and NCT has long since expired (it hasnt been in use at all) can i just bring it in for NCT even tho last one expired over a year ago?
