Linda Hamilton is joining the Showtime comedy for a multi-episode arc in season 6.
The original Sarah Connor will play Linda, an eco-conscious marijuana grower who, along with her life partner Fiona, helps Nancy’s endeavors in Seattle take bloom.
Weeds‘ sixth season, which premieres August 16, finds Nancy and Co. on the run after Shane whacked Pilar with a croquet mallet.
Also joining the cast for several episodes is Prison Break alum Peter Stormare. His character is described as a hot-tempered German chef who is anything but charmed by his new ambitious dishwasher, Andy (Justin Kirk).

Elizabeth Perkins (Celia Hodes) announced that the sixth season of Weeds would be her last :(

Really looking forward to this, might even rewatch it all from the start as a build up to the new season

I'm kind of board with Celia the last while though so I cant really say I'm bothered by it being her last outing.
MLP looks hot as fúck in that promo.
She manages that for every season promo :D

Showtime announced today that Richard Dreyfuss (Mr. Holland’s Opus) will guest star in at least four episodes of Weeds, which returns Aug. 16. Dreyfuss will play an unexpected character from Nancy Botwin’s (Mary-Louise Parker) past.

Shane all grown up  How are they gonna explain away the fact that he's still 13 in the show but 16 in real life? :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,780 ✭✭✭JohnK

Hes still supposed to be 13?!

They could probably partially sort it out by doing a 1 year later thing on the first scene which i think is near enough to what they did at the start of last season. It wouldnt make him look 14 but at least it'd deal with his appearance.

Hmmm, there appears to be a preair of episode 1 out, ahead of the August 17th premiere.

It was very good. Canada should be fun.

On another note Nancy needs to get the play in her steering wheel checked. ;)

new episode was good I thought, karma coming back to bite Nancy in the ass. That final scene where it looked like she was having a major breakdown was well done.

Well I've watched only the first 7 episodes so far and I'm quite disappointed tbh.

I'm finding it very boring and slightly stupid this season. The comedy aspect is almost entirely gone and while it was amusing that Shane is psycho at first, the whole thing has gotten annoying now.
Plus I just really don't understand the point of them winning an RV and then not accepting it.

    I hope it improves.

It has lost its' way completely at this stage.

I'm really enjoying it, but possibly just because shane has become of age

I was hoping they stayed in the hotel / college. Andy as a chef had potential, selling weed to the hotel customers and Shane in college, I agree it seems to have lost it's way now.

This season has just been terrible. The last one wasn't great either. Pity.

When they had Nancy dealing hash I thought we were back on form, but they dropped it so fast. This show just isn't believeable anymore.

What they need to do is get back to what made the show good:

Nancy and her motley crew selling drugs in suburbia.
That crew must include Celia, Huskaroo, Baldie and Doug.

With Silus (sp?) wanting to go to college it's perfect for him to sell there.

I just don't know what they are thinking or if they even know where they are going with this show anymore.

Yeah I'd like them to get back to selling again and maybe meeting up with Conrad and perhaps even Heylia.

I'd agree that Dean and Doug are a must, those two are great together but to be honest I'd be happy if we never saw Celia again as I think her character has run its course and I just cant see where they'd go with her now. Even in the last season it just felt like they didnt know what to do with her. At least Dean and Doug would serve a purpose in any business that Nancy has, be it legal or accountancy, but what does Celia add to the mix?

She adds a nice big dose of the crazies!

Thought Richard Dreyfuss was great last night's episode. If they can stick around Nancy's hometown for a bit it might get interesting again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,780 ✭✭✭JohnK

Right so just watched the last episode of season 6 and apparently there'll be a seventh. How the hell are they going to continue from there?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,473 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

My guess is that Nancy will now turn states evidence and give up Esteban and the Mexicans. She has a lot of dirt to feed to the feds. In return the feds turn her loose where she rejoins her family.

Oh snap! Good ending, the season started off poor but the last couple of episodes have been good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,780 ✭✭✭JohnK

But if she gives up Esteban he'll release the video which'll screw Shane so would she really do that?

Shane will be in Europe under a different name.
