I was quite impressed with this episode. It was tense. It was worth sitting through s6 for that episode, although, I'm not all that sure about the very last scene. Would it have been better if they
just left House there with the pills? Though perhaps that would be repetition. Cuddy breaking up with Lucas after coming off shift from a mass casualty situation, hmm. I like that the episode was largely focused on House rather than having 4-5 Drs/nurses scurrying around the disaster site. What's going on with Thirteen? They seemed to ignore her Huntington's for a while and now it's most likely back.

Barging in here sorry, have been watching online too. I dunno, think he is hallucinating again..even though we saw the pills in his hand. Surely he could imagine that they were still there?

Good episode - nice to see more focus on House which has been a little lacking this year. Laurie was fantastic and I thought his interaction with Brooke Harper was excellent. Think it showed how far he's emotionally developed this year.

One thing that was missing though was some House/Wilson moments. Shame!

Not a chance. He actually asked was he hallucinating again, precisely to remove the idea that they were repeating the season finale last year.

And repeating last year's finale would have been really lazy of the writers, which they definitely are not...

Happy to see house happy. Fairly traumatic scene with the girl.

Brilliant episode but as someone else already said a few more Wilson scenes would have been better. I felt they rushed through the crane driver reveal at the end, so much so that I had to watch that part again.

I thought the scene when the ambulance opened was very well done and emotional.

What about 13 though? Is she gone for good?

    Glad to see House happy

Very emotional episode. Some really great acting. I'm just worried that now we've been given what we want there will be little else to hold our interest. I almost forgot about 13 there was so much going on.

I thought it held together very well. While plenty happened during the show were not going to know any knock on effects for a while. It was less of an impact ending that the previous finales when it came to the conclusion and I don't have too much to judge it for. Not until next season.

First up, they had to go with the House-Cuddy thing sometime, and it was always going to be a risk. It has major potential to be the "jump the shark" moment, whether or not that will be the case depends on how the writers proceed with it next season, this can't be enough to "fix" House, there is still a long way to go with that aspect of the story.

I think next season should be the last, a few important major elements of the show was House's unhappiness, addiction, and the sexual tension between himself and Cuddy. Once these themes are no longer part of the equation, the show will start to go downhill, because there wont be any more stories to tell.

Hugh Laurie; Outstanding this season. His performance in the "Broken" episode and the finale were excellent. The last ten minutes of the finale, from the moment he crawled into the collapsed carpark to convince the girl that they had to amputate her leg, his performance was stunning.

I'm looking forward to season 7 but I hope it will be the last, otherwise it will start to go downhill.

Well we don't know what's going to happen next season, the writers could completely upend this postive trend for House for all we know (although I love Huddy...<3)

Mega episode. Very emotional, great acting and lots to think about for next season.

Agree though, there should have been more Wilson!

I watched it again and it loses none of its impact on second viewing. Agree about the lack of Wilson.

Great season finale. Emotionally, it's the
    polar opposite
of Season 5's ending. It's great to see
House have a chance at some happiness

Quality episode and some fine acting from Hugh Laurie.

Sometimes I think House is an ensemble show, and then it does episodes like this to remind us that there truly is only one star.

Great TV, but shame about Thirteen - House noticed her tremor a couple of weeks back when they were in the lesbian bar, and that was the only hint about her Huntingdon's. Compare that exit to how Kutner was written out - did the writers not like Olivia Wilde (or are we going to see her when her condition has deteriorated significantly?)

    Great episode, Laurie was brilliant.

Heads up that Hallmark are showing the Season 4 finale today and tomorrow, which is another brilliant Season finale.

Yeah and then in another episode (Open & Shut) she mentioned to Chase someone looking after her when she gets sick.. I actually think perhaps next season will be where we see her major decline in health.

    Wowowowowow.

It must really suck being an awesome actor like most of the crew are and getting complete owned by Hugh Laurie, lol.
Imagine if every day you turned up to work and got acted off the stage :)

What a killer episode. Part of me wanted to see House take the Vicodin (before Cuddy arrived...). The scene between House and Cuddy where they rip into each other at the disaster site was about as uncomfortable a scene as i have seen on TV.

Lets face it now though, the elephant in the room..... its not going to work between House and Cuddy. Its just not. She's his boss, and shes a mother (House as Dad??? Really??). Its going to be disastrous. Plenty of scope there for unhappy and tough storylines.

I hope 13's Huntingtons doesnt become a soap opera. It would be interesting if the team took on her case to find a solution to it :)
(you heard it her first, I think House is going to try and fix her).

Every season we say "oh it will go downhill from here" but the last two episodes have been some of the best TV produced.

I'm backing the writers because unlike so many other series, they havent caved in, backed down or let me down.

What an episode! I was glad House's patient (the lady trapped in the building, that is) died because it I was so convinced once House was on the scene, she'd be fine. Good not to have the patient's recovery getting inevitable. I was devastated she did die, but thought it was good for the show and made for a great scene- the ambulance in silence as Foreman opens the door. Wow.

I don't have much to say because DeV has said everything I was thinking.
(except for the 'Thirteen theory' which I haven't given much thought to.)

I give the writers more credit than "and Greg and Lisa lived happily ever after.." He's had an ongoing friendship with Wilson since day one, why would him being in an ongoing relationship be so bad? House and Cuddy are worthy adversaries and there has always been sexual chemistry. About time it got explored, no matter what the outcome! :D

I have high hopes for season seven because I'm sure the writers have given some pretty serious thought to 'Huddy' and knew it would be a controversial move many of the fans would be dying to tear apart. I'm sure they will be dying to prove the doubters wrong and make it a bloody great season! :pac:

Oh, forgot to add- great to see House come full circle from 'Three Stories.' "It's just a leg." It took him many years to accept he made the wrong move and it was incredible to see the roll reversal there.

Also: amazing scene with him amputating the leg. The way he calmly tells her it'll hurt worse than anything she's ever experienced. Dear God. Despite the face that (a) I'm not generally squeamish and (b) they didn't SHOW any of it, I was wincing and watching through my fingers. The sound of the saw and her screams were much more effective.

I'll be seriously pissed if we can't.
I was nearly shouting at the screen, telling House not to take them.

    "Ah jaysis, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT AGAIN!"

And when House questions whether he is hallucinating again my heart nearly dropped and I was sure that the episode was going to end with blurring close-ups of him necking vicodin.

    Have agree with DeV.

I really have confidence in the writers that they can keep the show interesting.

House was in its 5th season when I first discovered it and I have to say that I found it so annoying having to wait for new episodes to air when I caught up. I've never enjoyed a TV show as much as I have enjoyed House MD.

I'd put this episode on a par with Both Sides Now (S05 - House going into Mayfield), Wilson's Heart (S04 finale) and Broken from the start of this season. I'd maybe have Wilson's Heart as no.1.

One thing that ruined it for me slightly was that while watching it, for some reason I thought it was the penultimate episode... so when the episode's storyline came together at the end I was left "knowing" that more was to come before the end of the season.

I'd be surprised if the writers don't have House "interfere" with Thirteen's condition.

I thought that House had started to get a bit repetitive......funny case, try lots of different treatments, then he has his House moment when the penny drops and bingo the cure.

However, some of the episodes this season were excellent - particlulary the ones where the case wasn't the main focus.

As for the ending, I thought it was an excellent finale and perhaps the writers now have a lot of scope for next season - good House, nice House, loving House etc.

Was beginning to give up on it but can't wait for the new season now!

i think season 7 should be the last, as much as i would miss it, its the right move, house will come full circle and settle with cuddy and her kid,

also i would like for houses last patient to actually have lupus, :D
