BMW EML light

    Hi All,

I have an 04 BMW 320. I paid a fairly hefty price a few years ago and I have had the same problem on and off since I got it. I keep getting an EML light showing up. This sends the car into limp mode. I have had it brought into a BMW garage and all they say they can do is update the software.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

The latest incident happened a few weeks ago. Had to get towed all the way home and the next day when I started the car up the light was gone. Very frustrating! The AA guy who picked me up mentioned a garage called AC Works or something who might be useful...

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Could the BMW garage where you brought the car to get it fixed
not tell you what the fault is, reason for the car going breaking down.
My guess would be its one of the engines sensors, possibly MAF
sensor. But with a problem light this, a proper diagnostic job
should solve the problem for you.
