    Balls that is.

I used to use a Nike Swoosh but now it's just some red dots (this is too common).

    I like this one.....

What's the best pen to use for marking balls?
Any permanent pen, sharpie being the most popular brand name.

I put my initials on it.

3 black dots above the Titleist on both sides...

I continue the alignment line right around the ball with a black permanent marker. Makes it easy to spot which ball is mine from 20 yards away.
Not mad on Sharpies though, they don't seem to last too long.

Used to make 4 groups of 6 dots, a little like a leopard skin pattern.

I use a Sharpie fine point but just realised that they also do ultra-fine.

Would anyone buy a "template" that could be used to do a "better" job than marking freehand. For example a shamrock would be quite popular.

What about a machine in the pro-shop that would mark on your own personal identification?

I know most people will use dots or circles but maybe there's a market for more professional looking markings.

I use to do dotts, but found thats what most other people do, so know i do my initals in big graffiti letters above the writing on my ball,
    i use this pen
    http://www.sharpie.com/enUS/Product/Sharpie_Twin_Tip_Permanent_Marker.html
its perfect, i use the thick side for marking the ball and the skinny side for marking the card, bought 10 of them on ebay for 5.50euro.
also bought a few packets of sharpie minis which i find quiet usefull as well

Has anyone found a good online site or shop that prints your initials or mark on a ball for a reasonable price?
