i met this guy a couple of months ago thro a local sports group. thing is i think i fancy him and i do feel that there's a spark on his part also. we've just started hanging out a bit together on our own now outside the wider group. i'm not sure that these meetings have been "dates" as such as we kept it all matey. but i'm pretty sure that there's another vibe there. thing is while i think i have feelings for him now, i love having him as a friend cos we have lots in common that i don't have with other friends and he fills a gap that way - in the best possible way of course! i love being in his company, we have a great laugh etc and as said, we share similar interests and i guess, i just find him v stimulating to be around.

my concern is that, as the wider group, we meet up every week and we go away for w'ends sometimes. i'm afraid of crossing that line cos, i don't want o mess up my new friendship that i really value and also it would make the wider group circle v awkward if it didn't work out cos it's not like he's a ramdomer like other ex's that i never see again. this group is new to me and i really enjoy my new circle of friends and don't want to do anything to upset that also.

on that vein, a part of me is inclined to hold back for fear of a wrong decision BUT not going for it leaves the risk that he could hook up with somebody else and i'll be gutted.

    HELP!!

next time your having a drink with him start subtly flirting with him maybe he's shy as all his actions are saying he likes you but need to know if it's in a romantic way.

You sound like you're the same situation that I'm in even down to the club meeting up and weekends away.

If you like him tell him. He may just be too shy to say it to you and is thinking the exact same thing. Hanging out on your own would be a good sign imo.

If he does say no and he's anyway decent( you'll know yourself), he'll take it as a compliment and you two can carry on as normal after all it's better off knowing, so you're not wasting your time.
