quitting job where do i go from here

    Hi I am in a job for last 5 years which i hate and it is getting worse. I have now took the courage to quit. can anyone tell me am i entitled to claim social welfare , as i am paying a loan of 400 per mth and rent of 400 per month, i have applied to do a plc course which i hope to start in sept.

    You can claim social welfare but may be disqualified for up to 9 weeks. If your employment was causing you stress or ill health, bullying, etc. you may get an exemption. The JA/JB is e849 a month, so how are you going to survive on e11 a week? :eek:

    You may also Qualify for Rent allowance, but you should get advice on that from your Local office, if you ask.
