    Hi All,

I apologise in advance for the lack of poker in this question but I would guess that there are a few lads here who have spent much time in Vegas and looking for a quick bit of advice.

I'm going over to Vegas (2nd time) for my stag first week of august and It's clashing with my first love spurs champions league 2nd leg qualifiyer.

Would anyone know a bar off hand that would show "soccer" matches from europe. I know the lay of the land so Directions aren't really needed just a rough idea where to go.

    Thanks in advance,

I'm not sure about pubs but the MGM casino shows all sports.

They had football on when I was there.

    Cheers,

I should have said I'm staying centre strip in planet hollywood. I was more thinking of a pub type enviorment but if i'm desperate enough I would def go with that.

Spurs are going to lose 2-0 anyway.

This place is the only pub where you are guaranteed the match.

$15 dollars in a taxi from the centre strip, and there might be a cover charge even at that hour of the morning, but fk it, its not every day you see your club lose 2-0 in a Champions League qualifier.

The sports bar in new york new york casino/hotel across the walkway from the mgm grand will probably be showing .I know i watched the champions league quarter and semi s there before and there was no cover charge

Agree with CHD on the result!:D

But when I was over there in December, I was pining for missing Chelsea v. Fulham on December 28th... or so I thought! If you go to sports books, sports bars etc. and place a bet on the game, and then request that it will be shown, it probably will be shown on one of the five million television screens in there.

Definitely true, but I think the OP wants to watch it in a pub atmosphere with the sound blaring and everyone focused on it.
I watched the second leg of the Chelsea Liverpool quarter final last year (basically the best game of the season) in the Treasure Island sports book and the atmosphere in the place almost managed to turn it into a soulless boring experience. One TV screen out of 5 million, no commentary, me the only person watching.

Kmacs idea of the NYNY bar could be good, theres also a case for avoiding the game and result totally, and watching it 'as live' when he gets back home. Would probably need some co-operation from his stag party, but theres no danger of say some random taxi driver in LV mentioning the result, or it appearing on a sports bulletin.

    Cheers lads,

I don't mind loosing 2-0 as long as we win the first leg 3-0 :)

Cover charge wouldn't bother me in the slightest but I arrive on the Sunday so would have the week to try a few bars around and if no joy taxi it up to the English one.

    Thanks again.

Any bar will likely show champions league it is picked by ESPN, finding one with with the sound on, might be a challenge. They usually all do that subtitle thing.

The crown and anchor is ok, the crowd can be a bit lager loutish so i'd say try a normal bar away from the strip first.

My first and likely my only post in poker, just saw this on the front page decided to help
