Every once in a while my hearing in my right ear goes temporarily for a few weeks. Yes, Im probably going deaf but sure what can you do? usually happens when Ive been using headphone a good bit.

Anyway - anyone fancy listening to this and telling me if it sounds OK? Not too worried about the song composition itself, more worried about the actual mix since I've been guessing half of it:

the vocalist is not the strongest vocalist inthe world. she's a housewife.

that was a nice segway from a "im going deaf" into a "give me feedback on this track":D:D

Head .... stop now while you still can, and do something about it .

Losing hearing 'temporarily' will change eventually to losing hearing, full stop.

@ seannash - no, not really. If I wanted feedback on the track I'd put it elsewhere on boards. its the mix Im worried about.

@ paul - it happens every few years it seems - this is about the third time in 6 years. what can be done though? last time they just syringed my ears which I dont think is a really good idea ...

Turning down the volume is the obvious.
Best speak to a Medical Professional regarding the rest.

But I know a whole heap of musos and crew guys who didn't look after their hearing who are going Mutt + Jeff for good.

As Ive mixed more Ive noticed my volume going down compared to last year.
Plus, mixing very loudly will only cause the sound to get coloured by the room.

I dont fancy my tinnitus to get any worse.
I've also set my monitor inputs to make the output reasonably low when my monitor pot is at nearly full.

Sounds very trebley to me. The guitar does not really sound any good either. And the guitar's too loud aswell. IMO. I think her singing is fine.
