Am heading to Cork for a week with friends and three of us will be looking to play some golf. We'll be staying in Clonakilty so was wondering if any of you fine folk would recommend a course for us to play? I've heard (and read on this forum) some good things about Lisselan....we don't want to go too far out of our way as we wives & kids to get back to.... ;)

lisselan is a bit gimmicky but very enjoyable, not too many drivers needed, and maybe a few balls

Lisselan is nice. heard they had added a few holes too.
bandon 20 mins away is a good course.
Cant say i was made to feel welcome anytime i was visiting as i found a lot of cranky Kn*bs around the course.
    Dunmore is just no.

Yeah, Dunmore is a woeful spot! Say no more!

    Lisselan is nice.

Bandon is a good course and is coming back well after the bad winter we had.

Don't even think about going to Skibbereen!!!!!

Bantry is good if you want to travel that far.

The Old Head is a fine spot. Played it last week. Freebie, so I dont know what a green fee is but there it isn't anything as expensive as it was 2 years ago.

    Lisselan is a cracker.
Pity the electric raft wasn't working the last time I was there, and only one of the cable car thingys (you have to see this place to believe it).
Course was in great nick, and only €20 for 18 holes (2 laps).
About 5km on the Cork side of Clonakilty.
