    Hello

This is most likely a stoppid question.

If you buy a car with for example a Roscommon reg, could that be changed to have it with a Dublin reg. ??

or does the original Roscommon reg. always have to stay

now this is only an example so please no one coming on saying what wrong with Roscommon etc. etc. : )

no, you can't chgange it. There has been a thread on this recently here, have a search for it. The discussion is a bit more in depth but basically the answer is no.

There's been threads about this before and the consensus was that once you have a plate it cannot be changed, unless there was some very serious issue.
Just wanting to sell the car in Dublin is not enough.

Question answered - definitely can't change the reg.

Closing this thread before it descends into the usual quagmire :D
