Aer lingus charged for Flight change even through flight was cancelled

    So

    I got a text from Aer Lingus, flight cancelled.
    Also checked the Airport, cancelled as well.

    Went on to change to the next free flight and was charged 70 euro to rebook.

    What are my options ?

    I know that sometimes they display a change fee but the amount actually charged to the card is zero. I presume that wasn't the case for you?

    Nope,

    It was shown on the Total under the price page and now I have a transaction pending for that amount on my card.

    I agree with Pythia - contact them as soon as you can and obtain your refund.
