Just wondering if anyone has any information on how to become an aupair for 6 months or so? Thing is I don't have a foreign language but would love to go somewhere in scandanavia maybe sweden or denmark.

I have been on websites where families/au pairs advertise and connect in that way, however is it safer to go though an agency? if so, how do I go about this?

This is something I'm really interested in doing, but I'm totally lost...

Hope someone can give some advice...

There's a program on rte about it you can view it here http://www.rte.ie/player/#v=1074703

After watching a few episodes you might change your mind, there all over-worked and under-paid! sorry for being so pessimistic but I was really outraged by what I saw, some were working more than 12 hours a day and only getting €85 for the week, that works out at €1 an hour!

    You can do better!
