Fixing headphone jack

    Hello,

My mac recently took a dive whilst plugged into a headphone output. Everything seems to be working ok now but when I insert a headphone jack it no longer 'clicks' into place so it falls out easily. Sound still comes through when the jack is held in place. Any ideas on where I could get this fixed or if it's a major operation?

    Thanks in advance!

anything to do with laptop repairs is generally expensive i know and bein a mac it could be even more. I know screenway in galway do laptop repairs or if u ask in your local apple shop they probably know somewhere. other than that carry some blu tac to keep it held in when u need it :)

Just get an external USB soundcard like the iMic or Xmod and use that instead.

Thanks for the responses guys, the iMic looks particularly handy. In the end it turns out I'm still under warranty and it's being replaced
