    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a broker for a one-off, small, share trade?

Price is the key factor here. Is sharewatch the only broker which offers such a service for Irish shares?

Stay away from Sharewatch. Their service is extremely poor both from my own experiences and others here on boards.

TD Waterhouse is very easy to set up and can trade online for only €15-20

    G'luck :)

STAY AWAY FROM SHAREWATCH!!! They should be taken off the market!!!

4 weeks ago they sold my shares without my authorization. Since then they are not returning my calls and each time i ring they are keep saying that someone is looking into this and they will call me back later on that day. They are keep laying just to get me off the line!!! This is going on for 4 weeks now and nothing has been done so far.

I opted for taking the BOI right issue shares priced 0.55. I have transfered monies got my shares and two days later I am getting a letter that my shares have been sold for 0.18.

I should read more posts before i have decided who should I go for... but i would never expect such a mess and an appalling service...

If you're selling, and your position is worth less than 10000 you should be able to sell directly to the registrar.

I have a residual shareholding in BOI left over from many moons ago, and every time they make a communication, I get a form saying I can sell my shares directly to Computershare, who maintain BOI's shareholder registrar.
