    Hi,

I am thinking on buying a car i seen in a local garage. The car has hubcaps on the wheels, the tyres are in very good condition.

If I bought alloys could I put those tyres onto the alloys.

    Thanks

if its the same size alloy yes unless it needs a wider car, ask wherever ya plan to buy the alloys and give them the size if the tyres ya have already

The other option is to put up with the steel wheels & hub caps until the Tyree on those wheels are worn near the legal limit.
That way you have more optionswith regard to what alloys you can choose from. Sometimes it is nice to increase the diameter of the wheel by an inch or two radius for looks reasons, in which case your existing tyres will not fit. Of course you probably don't want to go too big either as you risk ruining the ride quality.
Post up the car you have in mind & I'm sure you'll get loads of recommendations for wheels. My personal preference would be to get OE (Original Equipment) alloys, i.e. Ones that the manufacturer would have specified as an option.
    Search adverts.ie & donedeal.ie & gumtree.ie for reasonably priced 2nd hand alloys too.

What car is it? Have to make sure alloys will suit her.

Or see if the garage will put some alloys on it as part of the deal.

As said above, keep driving on the tyres until it's time to buy new ones anyway.
Then get alloys and tyres together, on adverts.ie or similar site.

You can see here what alloys you can fit.
Astra has a PCD of 4x100 or 5x110 depending on stud count.
    Then you can start looking.
    4x100 on adverts
