Spanish Passport Question

Sorry if this question has been asked before but I searched and couldn't find anything.

So I'm flying out to Tenerife on Wednesday week. My question is do I have to supply the Spanish Govt. with my passport details. The only reason I ask is because I went there 2 years ago and vaguely remember having to give my passport number or something before I left.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It turns out that Ryanair collect this info off you when you check in on line, there isn't a separate form per se. Thanks everyone for the fast replies. :)
