bass player looking to join a rock/alternative/grunge cover band

hi all,i'm a bassist 33 looking to join a covers band for now then maybe move on to do originals.my wide range of influences are: muse,pearl jam,alice in chains,soundgarden,stone temple pilots,faith no more,metallica,oasis,u2 ac/dc,creedence clearwater,the who,kasabian,kings of leon,radiohead,the stone roses.the list goes on....i can also sing backing vocals and have great equitment and ready to go.if this sounds like what your looking for get in touch asap.i'm based in the north east but don't mind travelling if it's for the right band.cheers.kev

I too love your influences, getting a new line up of a band called Texas Galaxy together, have drums, guitar, vocals etc, need a good bassist with backup vox, we're all 30s as well so not a bunch of kids.

Tons of material available to play, and one of our members is very active on the gig front in Dublin so we've plenty of contacts. At this stage just looking to do it for fun, sure we could throw in a few covers, but musically we'll be looking back at 90s and 60s influences as well. Grunge is not dead!

PS I'm based on the northside of Dublin but the others are southside so we'd be jamming in town I guess.

We're a new band based in Dublin. We've had to get rid of our original bassist because of commitment issues.

The band line up is currently a drummer, singer, two guitarists and keyboard player.

We need a creative and experienced bass player with the ability to put 100% into the band.

The band has no recordings just yet but to give an idea of the vocals here's a link to the singer's old band's myspace page (the page itself is in bits but the tracks are of a high production quality):
